Web Design

When making my website, I enjoyed the process of building an image for myself. I wanted to picture what my class environment would be like, and translate that over to the site so that they were comparable. I think that when I do have an actual classroom, specifically a theatre classroom, a website will be very useful in keeping students, parents, and the public up to date on upcoming events or informing them about myself. I did not like how the Weebly templates required you to physically remove everything and replace it with your own content and information, but other than that the interface was fairly easy to use once I got the hang of it. I would definitely use it again, and I hope that everyone who sees it also enjoys the way it turned out! You can find it here

Diigo

Using Diigo was a very new experience for me, because I had never used or heard of it or anything similar to it. I liked how quickly we could respond to each other and view content. I also think that the bookmarking feature was especially easy to use and helpful when linking external content. This could be useful in a high school classroom setting for online class discussions or groupwork where sources need to be shared.

Professional Development and Technology

Technology is a rapidly moving thing that has many facets. It is important for us as students and future educators to know how to access and utilize the latest tech so that we can use it to further our education and the education of our students. I found this website, called the eLearning Industry, that keeps educators up to date on technological trends that they can use to develop professionally. It seems to publish articles frequently, so the information is always current.

  1. Hey Anna! You have an amazing website! The overall design and flow was well done. You used good contrast and fonts that were legible. The spacing was well thought out and I can tell you put a lot of effort into it. Overall, in my opinion you did well with your C.R.A.P designing ;)

Hope you have a great spring break!
